He stole a kiss and stood, getting the test and not looking at it, he handed it to her then sat, waiting.

He gave a nod, "Before we go-" He mumbled, "Sorry I snapped.... I just didnt know how to feel, and I had actually said I would go" He mumbled into her neck, his body slowly beginning to tremble again.

She frowned. She'd forgotten about that. "No, it's okay... I think we were both in the wrong mood at the wrong time. I'm sorry too." she said, holding him close.

"I'm an idiot.... I walked to the hospital since I figured you'd want the car, I got there too late...." He mumbled, his tears finally falling, "Just as I walked in, she drew her last breath..." He trembled and kept his face hidden.

"When I got home I was so mad at myself for that.... They said she didnt wake up so she felt no pain but... I dont know anymore" He mumbled.

She stroked his cheek, kissing the top of his head. She suddenly had a flashback, her eyes wide.

"I'm sorry, she isn't going to make it."
"He's gone, miss. We're very sorry..."
"You're lucky to have survived that, miss. We're sorry about your friend..."

"Remember, April. I love you, now and forever. I'm so sorry... take care, love..."
"No, Chris, please! The ambulance is almost here! You... you can't leave me!"

"CHRIS!"

Tears slipped down her cheeks as she remembered her first lover's death. It was harsh, a gunman had broken into the school, looking for April. Chris, her boyfriend, had jumped infront of the gunman to save her and got shot in the chest.
