"Inside..." She murmured and she managed to get herself to stand, she moved into the den and used the wall of the den to hold herself up, yelping and nearly falling forward when a contraction hit her.

Fang put himself between her and the floor, using his back to help her down into her nest.

She panted and laid in the nest, curling up and whimpering, her arms around her belly.

Fang laid down, pressing his back to hers.

She panted and whined whenever a contraction hit her, later on, she was crying from the pain of the birth, she had moved so she could start pushing soon enough.

He licked the top of Jessie's head comfortingly, trying whatever he could to make the experience slightly better.

Soon enough, four pups were born, three of them were twice the size of normal wolf pups and the last, the runt, was the size of a regular wolf pup, the larger three looked like Fang while the runt looked like Jessie.

Fang stood and walked around to Jessie's front side, licking her face and stooping to sniff at each of their pups.

Jessie panted and softly pet his head, exhausted from the birth, the pups were all squirming and whining loudly, the larger three continuously pushing the runt away as they began suckling from Jessie.

Fang picked up the little one by the scruff and set him on the opposite side of the other three pups, leaving her largest breast all to him.

Jessie watched with tired eyes and she smiled, feeling the runt suckling greedily, Jessie had lost a lot of blood during the birth, but seemed to be alright as she began to doze off to sleep, her tail draped over the pups.

Fang sat behind Jessie and the pups, keeping a careful eye out for danger, the scent of blood carrying the chance of drawing in another predator.

Jessie slept quietly and the pups suckled for the first time, they made small whines or whimpers while they suckled, typical of newborn pups.

He let the sounds of the newborns soothe him along with the rise and fall of Jessie's chest as he kept watch.

Jessie jerked awake as one of the pups accidently clawed one of her sensitive nipples, she huffed and laid so the pups could still nurse while she would be comfortable.

Fang jumped when she moved suddenly, but quickly calmed himself back down.

"Sorry" She said softly and pet his head, she was drifting off again but she jerked awake as she heard something outside, "What was that?" She asked and was about to get up, but the whining from the protesting pups made her lay back down.

Fang placed a paw on her shoulder, telling her not to get up. He warily scented the air, growling softly.

She understood and stayed down, her ears pinned back as a large brown bear sauntered into the den, having followed the scent of Jesse's blood, the New mother gave a growl and she held her pups tightly to her.

Fang growled loudly as his opposition came into view, stepping between Jessie and the bear protectively.

Jessie wrapped the pups in a pelt and she managed to stand, finding the gun she found in an old cabin and she held onto it just in case, the bear looked towards the two and growled deeply.

"Stay back." The wolf growled in his language, doubting the bear understood but making his intent to kill clear.

Jessie made sure the gun was loaded and she sat back down, watching the bear. The bear continued to watch them, growling out.

Fang took a slow and deliberate step forward, continuing to growl, his eyes locked on the bear's.

As the bear rose onto his hind legs, Jessie raised the gun and took a shot, shooting the bear right between the eyes, letting out a breath as the bear fell.
