Don't You Dare [Dust]

"Hey, can I help ya?" Michael tapped on the car door, coming up to the driver's window.

Florence rolled down the window, looking up at Michael. "Uh, nope, everything's cool here."

"Fantastic. Just remember this isn't couple's therapy. Enjoy the show." He turned on his heels and walked back to his stand, sighing.

She gave a soft chuckle, and Robert huffed, turning away. She just watched the movie, her black leather jacket catching a bit of the light.

Michael leaned over his counter and distractedly stared at the screen. He wasn't watching the movie- he'd seen it 50 times in the past month- rather he was thinking about basically whatever he wanted. The most customers usually came before the show started, and after that they were mostly all too busy watching or fucking one another's brains out to come get a popcorn refill.

Florence came up to the counter to get a soda. "Hey." she said softly, smiling.

"How's it going, ma'am- Oh, hello." Michael hadn't realized it was the girl he talked to earlier in her car until he looked up from the counter. "What can I get for ya?"

"Hey, could I get some water, please?" she asked, her eyes shimmering softly in the dim light.

"Certainly." Michael turned around to the soda fountain and starred filling a cup with ice water for her. "How are you tonight?" He asked with his back turned, making small talk with the admittedly pretty girl.

"I'm good." she said, smiling softly. "You?" she asked, watching him with soft eyes.

"About as good as I can be doing on 3 hours of sleep." Michael replied. "College is rough. Make sure you study, or you'll never be ready for it." Michael groaned, turning around and handing over her water.
